Dr. Gou received her Ph.D. from the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of China. She is currently an associate professor at the School of Journalism and New Media at Xi’an Jiaotong University. Dr. Gou’s research interests encompass communication research methods, media effects, and studies on children and media. Her current work focuses on the impact of digital media on young children’s social-emotional development and the digital divide affecting urban and rural young Chinese children.
